The agreement between you and Tacit Labs for using our service. Written to be readable, but it's still a contract.

By creating an account or using Tacit ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorized to bind it.
Tacit provides consent-management software: a banner, a consent ledger, and related APIs. We may improve or change features over time, and we'll give reasonable notice of material changes that affect you.
You're responsible for your account, your API keys, and activity under them. Keep your secret keys private. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Don't use Tacit to break the law, infringe others' rights, send malware, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service. Don't use it to collect consent deceptively or to misrepresent what users agreed to.
Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We'll give notice before price changes affecting your plan.
You own your data and your customers' consent records. We process them on your behalf under our Privacy Policy and, for paid customers, a Data Processing Agreement. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect the data you route through Tacit.
We work hard to keep the Service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability on free plans. Service-level commitments, if any, are set out in your plan or order form.
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.
Tacit is a tool to help you manage consent. It isn't legal advice, and using it doesn't by itself make you compliant with any law. You're responsible for your own compliance, ideally with your own counsel.
You can stop using Tacit any time. We may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period before deletion.
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
